Kyiv has introduced a temporary traffic pattern on Roman Shukhevych Avenue for vehicles travelling towards the Northern Bridge. Drivers are being directed to diversion routes via the Podilskyi Bridge Crossing.
This was reported by the head of Ukraine’s Patrol Police, Oleksii Biloshytskyi.
According to him, passenger cars travelling along the avenue towards the Northern Bridge must turn right, loop back near the shopping centre in the opposite direction, and then continue on to the Podilskyi Bridge Crossing.
For lorries, a temporary turning point has been set up on the avenue near the bridge over the Desenka River. After that, they can also proceed to the Podilskyi Bridge Crossing.
On site, patrol officers are directing traffic.
- On the night of 7 November, the Russians attacked the Northern Bridge in Kyiv with ballistic missiles. The bridge’s road surface, trolleybus overhead lines and a power line were damaged. In addition, the blast wave wrecked five lorries in a nearby car park.
- After the Russian strike, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy instructed the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Kyiv City State Administration to prepare contingency transport links.
