Ukraine’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Andrii Sybiha has offered Italy assistance in countering cyber threats following attacks targeting Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani and his family. He also backed a proposal to discuss the issue at a meeting of G7 foreign ministers in Paris.
Sybiha wrote about this on the social network X.
“I express full solidarity with my Italian colleague Antonio Tajani in connection with malicious acts of cybercrime and intimidation directed against him and his family,” the head of Ukraine’s Foreign Ministry wrote.
Sybiha stressed that Ukraine has considerable experience in countering cyberattacks and is ready to share it with partners.
He also supported Tajani’s proposal to discuss cyber threats during a meeting of G7 foreign ministers in Paris, which the Ukrainian minister will attend.
“Cyber threats and malicious attacks know no borders and require a decisive, co-ordinated response… Together we are stronger in defending Europe, strengthening the resilience of our societies and ensuring the security of critical infrastructure and sensitive data,” Sybiha noted.
