Russian envoy in Kiev to discuss Donbas settlement
The sides have discussed preparations for the next meeting of the contact group on Donbas.
Ukraine's representative in the trilateral contact group on a Donbas settlement, Leonid Kuchma, met Russian envoy Boris Gryzlov in Kiev today, Kuchma's press secretary Darya Olifer has said on Facebook.
Kuchma and Gryzlov discussed preparations for the next meeting of the contact group scheduled to be held in Belarus's Minsk on 13 January 2016.
"Before talking to the Russian representative, Kuchma had a meeting with the OSCE representative in the trilateral group, Martin Sajdik, to discuss the group's agenda for the next meeting. This will be the first meeting of the trilateral group in 2016," Olifer said.
Earlier Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said that Ukraine would insist on setting a specific deadline for the implementation of all clauses of the Minsk agreements.
