For the last 24 hours, 52 militant attacks have been registered in the antiterrorist operation (ATO) area in Donbas, including 39 in the Donetsk direction, 11 in the Mariupol sector and two in the Luhansk one.

The militants mainly attacked the strongpoints in Zaytseve and Avdiyivka using all types of weapons, including those forbidden by the Minsk agreements (120-mm and 82-mm mortars). They fired more than 130 mortar bombs there, the ATO HQ said.

The enemy fired with anti-tank missiles at the strongpoints near Popasna and Troyitske, and with infantry fighting vehicles near Luhansk and three times near Avdiyivka.

The enemy targeted ATO positions with grenade launchers and large-calibre machine guns in Novhorodske and Mayorsk.

In the Mariupol sector, militants used 82-mm mortars, anti-tank missiles and small arms in Shyrokyne.

Sharpshooters fired on the ATO forces near Nevelske, Maryinka and Krasnohorivka.

At 7:15 pm near the ATO forces position in the Popasna area, a 10-strong sabotage and reconnaissance group was trying to sneak in but was noticed by an observer. Having opened fire to kill, Ukrainian soldiers made the mercenaries leave.
