Ukraine hopes that international organizations and partner countries will create a multilateral trust fund to support the restoration of Donbass, President Petro Poroshenko said during a plenary session of the World Humanitarian Summit in Istanbul.
Ukraine is obliged to complete the construction of a new sarcophagus over the destroyed Chornobyl nuclear reactor with the support of donors, the press office quoted the head of state as saying.
The talks about the restoration of Donbass at the expense of Western money after Ukraine restores control over the occupied territories have been around for a long time. A year ago, Poroshenko statedthat Ukraine could attract $ 2bn in international aid to rebuild the infrastructure of Donbass.
