Two Ukrainian soldiers were killed and eight wounded in the evening of 23 May in the enemy shelling of Avdiyivka industrial area.
"We got two killed in action and eight wounded. The enemy crumps stronger than usual. The shelling started in the evening, by about 20:37 we had the first losses. At the moment, all the wounded taken to a hospital in Pokrovska [former Krasnoarmeysk]," reads a posting on the People's Project website with a reference to the military on the ground.
Maxym Ryabokon said on Facebook it was the 90th separate airmobile battalion of Zhytomyr that had casualties.
Meanwhile, the press center of the ATO headquarters reported that the situation aggravated in Donbas. Over the past day, the adversary opened fire 47 times all along the contact line, especially after dark. Avdiyivka was shelled from mortars and grenade launchers.
Yesterday, the Aydar battalion reported two of its soldiers killed.
