The Cabinet of Ministers at its meeting on 8 June supported the creation of mobile groups to fight against illegal transportation of smuggled goods across the border.
Earlier, Roman Nasirov, Head of the State Fiscal Service, stated that 20 mobile interdepartmental groups would be created to combat smuggling. It was planned that these groups would operate mostly on the Ukrainian western border, as well as in Chernihiv and Zhytomyr regions.
The mobile teams will include fiscal officers, border guards and police.
Last month, Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman announced plans to set mobile units to monitor the work of the customs. The premier then called the future task force teams "black hundreds".
