In Minsk, at about 12:30 started a regular meeting of the Trilateral Contact Group on Donbass, the press secretary of Leonid Kuchma, who represents Ukraine at the peace talks wrote on Facebook.
This is the first meeting of the group in October. At the previous meeting on 21 September, the parties reached an agreement on the withdrawal of forces in three areas - near Stanytsya of Luhanska, Petrovske and Zolote.
The implementation of the deal in Petrovske and Stanytsya Luhanska failed because of the shelling by the militants.
Over the past two weeks, the Russia-backed separatists have thwarted two Skype-conferences of the Trilateral Contact Group on compliance with the ceasefire.
In this regard, Kuchma said that the failure to comply with the agreements reached in Minsk aims to stall the whole negotiation process and force Ukraine to "put the question bluntly" at the meeting on 5 October.
