Over the past day, the Russia-backed militants 40 times fired on the positions of the antiterrorist operation forces in Donbass, the website of the Ministry of Defense said in a statement on 6 October.
In the Luhansk sector, the regime of silence was 12 times breached in the areas of Novozvanivka, Novooleksandrivka, Balka Kruta, Tryokhizbenka, Stanytsya Luhanska, where militants fired small arms, machine guns and grenade launchers, and, in some areas, 120mm mortars.
The Donetsk sector saw eight enemy attacks. Avdiyivka, Opytne, Novhorodske and Verhnyotoretsk were attacked from rocket-propelled grenades and small arms. In the areas of Avdiyivka and Verhnyotoretske terrorists used 82-mm mortars.
In the Mariupol sector, the army reported 20 violations of the ceasefire in the areas of Vodyane, Chermalyk, Maryinka, Shyrokyne, Hnutove, Pavlopil and Starohnativka. In addition to rocket-propelled grenades and small arms, the militants used 82 mm mortars in the area of Taramchuk.
Enemy snipers were active in Maryinka, Shyrokyne and Hnutove.
Four enemy drones were spotted in the ATO zone.
In the previous day, the hackers from Sprut portal hacked the page of the press center of the ATO headquarters on Facebook. The attackers changed the main photo and account cover, and posted materials, "exposing" the investigation of the crash of the MN17 flight in Donbas.
