Over the past day, one Ukrainian soldier was killed and seven were wounded, the press officer of the Ministry of Defense on the ATO Col. Andriy Lysenko told a briefing on Monday, 17 October.
Earlier it was reported that a combat vehicle blew up on a mine in Popasnjansky district, Luhansk region. One soldier was killed and three suffered wounds of varying degrees of severity, medics are fighting for their lives.
Lysenko said the ATO troops spotted six enemy drones in the area and downed two of them.
The Russia-backed militant forces have reportedly 61 times opened fire on the positions of the Ukrainian military in Donbas last day.
