The head of the NJSC Naftogaz Ukrayiny Andriy Kobolev is facing a difficult mission. Among his tasks is ensuring a sufficient amount of gas for the heating season, withstanding the dispute with Gazprom, maintaining a sufficient level of gas purchases in the EU as Ukraine daringly keeps refusing to buy gas from Russia while own gas production is barely adequate. Add to this the internal problems of the company, a catastrophic shortage of funds, etc.
