On 28 January, pro-Russian militants carried out 60 attacks on the positions of the antiterrorist operation (ATO) forces in Donbas, wounding three Ukrainian troops, the ATO press centre has said on Facebook.
In the Mariupol sector, the militants fired on Lebedynske with 122-mm artillery, a tank and 82-mm mortars. They used 120-mm and 82-mm mortars against Shyrokyne, Vodyane, Talakivka, Hnutove, Lebedynske, Opytne and Pavlopil.
Hnutove, Lebedynske, Vodyane, Novotroyitske, Berezove, Talakivka and Shyrokyne were targeted with grenade launchers and small arms. Snipers were active near Novotroyitske and Hnutove.
In the Donetsk sector, the occupiers fired with 152-mm artillery on the ATO positions near Avdiyivka, with grenade launchers and heavy machine guns on Zaytseve and Luhanske, and with mortars of various calibres on Avdiyivka and Troyitske.
In the Luhansk sector, the militants fired with anti-tank missile systems on Novozvanivka, with mortars and grenade launchers on Troyitske, Novozvanivka, Krymske and Novooleksandrivka. An infantry fighting vehicle was used against Krymske.
From midnight to 6 p.m. on 27 January, the militants carried out 36 attacks on the ATO positions, wounding two Ukrainian troops.
