Over the past day, the situation stabilized in the zone of the antiterrorist operation in Donbas as the number of attacks dropped to 50, the press center of the ATO in Facebook on 20 March. In the Mariupol sector, 26 attacks recorded. During the day, the terrorists fired heavy machine guns, grenade launchers, anti-aircraft guns at the positions of Ukrainian fighters in the area of Vodyane, and used 122-mm artillery at about 6:00 pm Kyiv time.
In the area of Pavlopil, Shyrokyne and Hnutove, the ATO positions were shelled with heavy machine guns. The enemy fired grenade launchers at Lebedynske, and mortars – at Maryinka and Krasnohorivka.
In the Donetsk sector, militants fired grenade launchers and machine guns at the army positions in the area of Avdiyivka, and used tank weapons at about 3 pm. In the vicinity of Nevelske, terrorists shelled army positions with 120-mm mortars, and with grenade launchers of various systems and machine guns - Zaitseve, Luhansk and Kamyanka.
In the Luhansk sector, militants twice fired at the ATO positions near Novozvanivka with a 120-mm mortar. In the area of the villages of Luhanske and Novooleksandrivka they fired mortars.
On Sunday, Russian occupation forces waged 19 attacks at the positions of Ukrainian troops having wounded two Ukrainian soldiers. An elderly civilian woman was wounded during the shelling of Avdiyivka.
