The Ukrainian antiterrorist operation (ATO) troops suffered no losses on 15 April for the first time over a long time. The ATO HQ press centre said that pro-Russian militants launched 29 shooting attacks.
In the Mariupol sector, pro-Russian militants used 120-mm and 82-mm mortars, grenade launchers of various systems and heavy machine guns against the ATO positions near Maryinka. Militant snipers were active in the area. Marines near Vodyane came under fire from antitank grenade launchers and heavy machine guns. Marines near Shyrokyne were targeted with infantry fighting vehicles and small arms. The militants targeted Pavlopil with grenade launchers, Hnutove and Chermalyk with heavy machine guns.
In the Donetsk sector, the militants pounded Avdiyivka and Pisky with grenade launchers of various systems and heavy machine guns. The ATO strongpoints near Luhanske were targeted with grenade launchers, Opytne with machine guns and Kamyanka with small arms. Snipers were active near Troyitske.
In the Luhansk sector, the militants used automatic grenade launchers against the ATO positions near Lobacheve and small arms near Novooleksandrivka.
On 14 April, the militants launched 45 shooting attacks, wounding four Ukrainian servicemen.
