IMF names key reforms for sustainable economic growth in Ukraine

IMF would like to see greater progress in privatization and in the reform of state enterprises.

IMF Resident Representative in Ukraine Jerome Vacher named in a 24 April interview with LB.ua the key reforms that will allow Ukraine to step on the path of sustainable economic growth.

"The three reforms - land, pension and privatization - will be a litmus test that will measure the mood and determination of this government to implement reforms in a strong-minded manner that would ultimately allow Ukraine to stand on the path of sustained economic growth," yours said.

He also added that although there is a movement in the preparation of pension and land reform, the IMF "would like to see greater progress" in the field of privatization and in reforming state-owned enterprises.

LB.ua is publishing a series of materials on Ukraine's obligations to the IMF in the energy, banking and fiscal spheres.
