The Association of Cities of Canada will allocate 19mn Canadian dollars (UAH 380.7mn at the NBU rate) to Ukrainian cities for the development of self-government.
The secretary of the Kyiv City Council Volodymyr Prokopiv said that the funds will be divided between several Ukrainian cities, including Kyiv.
"Cooperation concerns almost any sphere of municipal economy: from what seemed to be very small, to large, massive projects like the master plan of the capital," Prokopiv said as quoted by Interfax-Ukraine.
The Free Trade Agreement between Ukraine and Canada comes into force on 1 August.
