Over the past day, the illegal armed groups in Donbas 16 times breached the ceasefire agreement. As a result of the shelling, a Ukrainian soldier was traumatized, the headquarters of the ATO said in a statement on Thursday, 10 August.
In the first half of the day, the militants the village of Kalynove, using various types of weapons six times pounded the ATO support points in the Luhansk sector.
After 18:00, the enemy activated in the coastal sector. Usinf 82-mm mortars, the militants fired on the positions of the ATO forces at Starohnativka and Talakivka. 120-mm mortars were used in the areas of Vodyane, Pavlopil and Hnutove. At about 9:00 pm, the enemy employed a Grad P (Partizan) rocket launcher to shell ATO forces. At least 27 shells were fired at the ATO positions in Shyrokyne and around 15 - near Vodyane.
In the Donetsk sector, the enemy fired from various types of weapons at Ukrainian strong points on the southern outskirts of Avdiyivka and at Butivka mine in the evening.
The ATO forces returned fire.
On Tuesday, August 8, the "DPR" and "LPR" militants on 28 occasions opened fire on the positions of the Ukrainian military. Three Ukrainian soldiers died, and seven were wounded in enemy shelling.
