Over the past day, the Russian occupying forces have violated the ceasefire in Donbas twice, the antiterrorist operation (ATO) HQ press centre said n Facebook on 19 January. The Ukrainian military did not return fire in either case.

In the Luhansk sector, the enemy fired 82-mm mortars at Ukrainian strongpoints in the area of Shchastya and used 120-mm mortars to shell Ukrainian positions in the area of Luhanske.

Ukrainian servicemen had no losses. However, one Ukrainian serviceman had a combat injury while carrying out engineering works in the Donetsk area. He was taken to a military hospital in satisfactory health condition.

On 17 January, the militants seven times violated the ceasefire in the ATO zone in Donbas. One Ukrainian serviceman was killed in combat. Two more Ukrainian soldiers were killed and five more servicemen injured in a landmine explosion.
