The Cabinet of Ministers is planning to terminate the programme of economic cooperation with Russia signed in 2011 at its next meeting on 21 March, Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman has told 112 Ukrayina TV.

"We are working to redirect our economy from the connection imposed on us by Russia. We will do our best to make the aggressor state pay a high price for the aggression in Ukraine," he said.

The document in question was signed on 7 July 2011 and expires on 2020. It describes the two countries' trade, transport, recreation, social and humanitarian, border and other cooperation.

Groysman expects Ukraine to win from the termination of the agreement.

In October, the Cabinet of Ministers terminated the intergovernmental agreement with Russia on the specialization of companies producing military goods.
