On 13 June, the European Parliament upheld the European Commission's proposal to allocate the fourth package of macro-financial assistance to Ukraine, amounting to 1bn euros.
The decision was approved by 527 votes.
In return, the EU expects Ukraine to adhere to the rule of law, respect human rights, boost efforts to fight corruption, money laundering and tax evasion.
