Police detain three suspects in Odesa attack case

According to preliminary reports, they are citizens of Georgia.

Three suspected attackers of a public activist, leader of the Odesa office of the Power of People party, Oleh Mykhaylyk, who was wounded on 22 September, have been detained in Odesa. A source in local law enforcement told UNIAN that according to preliminary information, they are citizens of Georgia. One of them allegedly had a weapon, which was used in the attack on Mykhaylyk.

Currently, two suspects are in the Prymorskyy police department, while another one is in City Clinical Hospital No.1, where he was taken from police due to the deterioration of the state of health.

According to a source, the suspects who deny their involvement in the attack were tracked down by their mobile phones.

The consul of Georgia in Odesa is in the hospital now.

The Main Directorate of the National Police in Odesa Region refused to comment.
