A 19-year-old contract soldier of the 30th Kostyanty Ostrozkyy mechanized brigade, which is based in Novohrad-Volynskyy, Zhytomyr Region, was wounded by a blast at the Rivne military training range on 20 November.
According to preliminary reports, a column of military vehicles stopped during the exercise for an inspection. An unidentified explosive device went off near one of the vehicles.
A soldier sustained shrapnel wounds to his forearm and was admitted to hospital. His life is not at risk.
