Eleven flights due to land at Kyiv Boryspil Airport had to be diverted after a Belavia plane rubbed against light fixtures on the ground. A runway had to be closed temporarily to clean up the debris, the airport explained. There may also be delays because of thick fog.

President Petro Poroshenko asked the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate (UOC MP) to help free the 24 Ukrainian sailors arrested by Russia after the Kerch Strait attack. The church said that negotiations with Russia "along the church line" are held regularly and they "expect some results".

UOC MP head Onufriy (Berezovskyy) returned Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew's invitation to a unification council without answer. Earlier, the UOC MP advised its clergy against attending the council.
