MP Viktor Chumak will head Anatoliy Hrytsenko's presidential campaign HQ. The two announced this at a briefing in Kyiv on 10 December, according to Interfax-Ukraine.

Earlier, Chumak said he was going to run for president.

"We decided to join the efforts of the Hvylya civil movement and the Civil Position. Announcing my bid for president, I said that I was ready to support a candidate with a higher rating. I and our team decided so," Chumak said.

The two called on other potential presidential candidates from the democratic camp – Svyatoslav Vakarchuk, Andriy Sadovyy, Roman Bezsmertnyy, Mykola Katerynchuk, Mykola Tomenko – to support Hrytsenko.

The presidential election campaign will take off in late December.
