The trilateral contact group has agreed yet another ceasefire in eastern Ukraine, effective as of 29 December, Ukraine's representative Yevhen Marchuk has said following the security subgroup video conference call.
"We suggested this truce, that is indefinite ceasefire, starting from the next night, at 00.01 a.m. on 29 December," he said on the air of Pryamyy TV.
He added that the agreement to this effect was reached.
The ceasefire is expected to be used to restore local infrastructure.
On 26 December, pro-Russian militants carried out seven attacks, including with the use of banned weapons on one occasion.
