President-elect Volodymyr Zelenskyy met Ukraine's Muslim leaders on 2 May, two days after a meeting with the Orthodox church leaders.
"I got a call from Mr Zelenskyy's assistant who invited me to a meeting, but together with the muftis of other religious directorates. Volodymyr Zelenskyy let everyone speak in turns," the mufti of the Spiritual Directorate of Muslims of Ukraine, Said Ismagilov, said on Facebook.
He quoted Zelenskyy as saying that he strives for the unity of Ukraine and Ukrainian society, calls for peace and consolidation, and hopes that religious leaders will help this cause.
"He also noted that Ukraine needs peace among believers of different religions," Ismagilov added.
