President Petro Poroshenko has dismissed National Guard Commander Yuriy Allerov, according to a decree published on the president's official website.
According to another decree, the president appointed Mykola Balan as acting commander of the National Guard.
Under the law on the National Guard, its commanders are appointed and dismissed on the initiative of the interior minister.
A day earlier, Poroshenko replaced the Joint Forces Operation commander. He appointed Oleksandr Syrskyy instead of Gen Serhiy Nayev.
