Outgoing Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has said he is interested in parliament deciding on the date of Volodymyr Zelenskyy's inauguration as soon as possible.
"Today, the ball is in the court of parliament. I'd like parliament to determine the date of inauguration as soon as possible. And, on my part, there will be only support for Mr. Zelenskyy's prompt entry into office," he told journalists during a working visit to Brussels on 13 May.
Zelenskyy repeatedly said that he would prefer to be inaugurated on 19 May.
