Estonian diplomat Matti Maasikas has been appointed head of the EU Delegation to Ukraine, according to Interfax-Ukraine.
He is currently Estonia's deputy foreign minister for the EU.
Maasikas will replace French diplomat Hugues Mingarelli who had headed the EU Delegation since 2016.
Maasikas headed Estonia's representative office in the EU from 2011 to 2016.
