The acting chairman of the State Fiscal Service, Oleksandr Vlasov, has dismissed the heads of the Volyn, Transcarpathian, Lviv and Chernivtsi regional customs offices.

"Following a meeting in Uzhhorod, I decided to dismiss the heads of the four customs offices of the western region – Volyn, Transcarpathian, Lviv and Chernivtsi. Their job will be carried out by professional specialists from the management of the customs departments of the State Fiscal Service," Vlasov said on Facebook.

During a meeting with customs officials in Uzhhorod on 6 July, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy asked the heads of the four western customs offices to resign over failure to stop smuggling.
