Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said that the disengagement of forces and weapons in Petrivske will start on 4 November if ceasefire is observed in the area.
"If everything is quiet in Petrivske for a week – a seven-day ceasefire is required – then we should start disengagement in Petrivske on 4 November," Zelenskyy said at a joint news conference with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg in Kyiv on 31 October, following a meeting of the NATO-Ukraine Commission.
The president says he has no doubt that a meeting of the Normandy Four leaders will take place, "if all parties want and strive to meet in the Normandy format because the main result [should be] an agreement to end the war".
