The Kyiv regional court of appeal has turned down prosecutors' request to authorize the arrest of Radical Party leader, ex-MP Oleh Lyashko.
Thus, the measure of restraint selected by the Boryspil court on 19 November will remain in force. The court released the politician after MPs Viktoriya Syumar and Mykhaylo Volynets stood surety for him.
Lyashko is suspected of violence against MP Andiy Herus.
On 6 November, Lyashko and Herus had a fight in Boryspil airport over an amendment unblocking energy imports from Russia. Next day police opened a case against Lyashko over threat or violence against a public servant or public activist (Article 346 of the Criminal Code).
