In the course of the working visit to Israel, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has met Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu in Jerusalem.

The parties reaffirmed mutual intention to develop bilateral political dialogue, Zelenskyy's press service said.

The parties also noted the existing potential for intensifying trade, economic and investment cooperation between Ukraine and Israel.

Zelenskyy is hopeful that the bilateral free trade agreement, which Ukraine ratified in August 2019, would enter into force as soon as possible.

He paid special attention to the situation with numerous denials of entry to Ukrainian citizens travelling to Israel.

"The resolution of this issue should remain the focus of the authorities of both countries. The parties should continue to work together for the final settlement of the situation in the near future," Zelenskyy said.
