The National Security and Defence Council (NSDC) has recommended the Health Ministry of Ukraine to restore the sanitary and epidemiological service due to a threat of the coronavirus.
According to LB.ua, this decision was taken at the interagency meeting chaired by NSDC Secretary Oleksiy Danilov on 11 February. The meeting discussed steps to prevent the spread of the coronavirus to Ukraine and how to react to it.
The Health Ministry and the Public Health Centre are instructed to come up with proposals in a week’s term to restore the sanitary and epidemiological service in Ukraine.
Among other recommendations are to purchase (or manufacture) a mobile hospital for 50-100 beds, which could act as a quarantine facility.
It says that a diagnostic test system developed by Ukrainian scientists should be checked by the Instititute of Molecular Biology and Genetics and Diogen Ltd.
