Cabinet appoints acting economic minister

The Cabinet of Ministers has appointed Pavlo Kukhta acting minister of economic development, trade and agriculture, he has said on Facebook.

"For our team, it is important that the changes and reforms that we have managed to launch over six months of work (including the land market, the launch of privatization, reform of state enterprises, the creation of tools to attract investment and much more) do not disappear without a trace and continue for the benefit of the people of Ukraine," Kukhta pointed out.

The ministry was previously headed by Tymofiy Milovanov who was dismissed along with the government of Oleksiy Honcharuk.

Kukhta was appointed the first deputy economic minister on 11 September 2019. Previously, he was the programme director of rock singer Svyatoslav Vakarchuk’s Voice party. He is an expert in fiscal policy, budget and pension reform. He was a member of a strategic group of advisers on reform.
