Zelenskyi submitted an appeal to suppress Russia from voting within United Nations Security Council

The President of Ukraine had a conversation with Secretary-General of the United Nations.

The President Volodymyr Zelensky appealed to Western countries asking them to suppress Russia from voting within United Nations Security Council.

He wrote about it on his Twitter account.

The President mentioned that this issue had been discussed with Secretary-General of the United Nations.

"To suppress the country-aggressor from voting within United Nations Security Council, to define the deeds and statements of RF as genocide of Ukrainian people, to help with Russian soldiers bodies transfer. I have talked about it with Secretary-General of the United Nations" ,- wrote Zelenskyi.

Let us remind you that around 5 a.m. on the 24th of February the President of Russian Federation declared war to Ukraine and send army forces to our country. He justified the attack using the situation at Donbas, UN Chapter, the decision of Federation Council and agreements with temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. Also Putin made a statement that RF can not "feel safe" and proceed with its development while there is the constant threat from Ukraine. 

On the 26 of February Russian Federation blocked UN resolution that contained conviction of military attack of Russia on Ukraine.
