An observer from the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission was killed during an attack by the Russian army on Ukraine.
This was announced by the head of the Ukrainian delegation to the Assembly, MP from the "Servant of the People" Maria Mezentseva.
"The first death in the OSCE mission. The employee of the was killed in Russia's war against Ukraine. A 45-year-old woman," she wrote.
Mezentseva did not specify where it happened and under what circumstances.
Russian media also reported the death of an OSCE observer. In particular, the TASS news agency, citing the organization's secretariat in Vienna, reported that OSCE Representative in Ukraine Maryna Fenina had died in the shelling of Kharkiv.
The Verkhovna Rada called for closing the sky over Ukraine.
"The first member of the OSCE mission in Ukraine died in Russia's war against Ukraine. RIP. Stop turning a blind eye to the war in Ukraine! Close the sky over Ukraine!" the statement said.

The Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe terminated its mission in Ukraine on 25 February.
