Ukrinform reports that Deputy Prime Minister, Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories, Iryna Vereshchuk, stated that Russia still refuses to take the bodies of its soldiers who died due to the invasion of Ukraine.
"We have some progress; there are some steps from the Red Cross. Unfortunately, Russia is not responding. It refuses to take away the bodies," Vereshchuk said.
She added that the agency is now making a public statement, once again appealing to Russia to take away the bodies of thousands of Russian soldiers. They have to come back to Russian territory, Vereshchuk stressed.
Earlier, Vereshchuk addressed the Red Cross to take out bodies of the killed occupiers from Ukraine to the Russian Federation.
During the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, from 24 February to 3 March, the aggressor has lost about 9,000 soldiers.
