Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, Oleksiy Danilov, announced that border guards of the 5th Border Detachment and units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine had advanced to the state border of Ukraine in Sumshchyna.
Danilov stated, “During the last 24 hours, the Russian occupation forces have failed to make significant progress in any direction, the offensive has been stopped”.
Having realized the failure of its Barbarossa 2022 plan and faced with the highly effective actions of the Ukrainian military and territorial defense units, the Kremlin changed its tactics by launching massive shelling of residential neighborhoods and civilian infrastructure in dozens of cities such as; Kyiv, Chernihiv, Kherson and Kharkiv. Using the weapons prohibited by the Geneva Convention, these tactics used by Russia of nightly shelling of residential areas in large cities have become widespread," he said.
The statement says that the hottest direction of the day is in Odessa. However, the city meets the occupier not with flowers but with fire, barricades, and a cocktail of "Resistance. Odesa is Ukraine!" so does all Ukraine.
The city of Kyiv continues to defend itself heroically. Measures are being taken to identify and destroy the occupier's RSG.
Danilov also added that Russian forces are demoralized, while Ukrainian forces are getting more motivated every day.
As mentioned before, the president of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, declared that the occupiers were compelled to change their tactics because of the courageous Ukrainian resistance. Russia's missile and bomb strikes on Ukrainian cities signify that they have failed to do anything significant on land. All lines of our defence are preserved.
