President Volodymyr Zelenskyy believes that the world community should unite around Ukraine to prevent Russia's attack on other countries.
He stated this at a meeting with representatives of foreign media at the press center at the Office of the President in Kyiv.
"This powerful escalating rhetoric that is happening now ... Putting down arms, the army must get on its knees, raise their hands - this is the beginning. What will happen if Ukraine does not stop all this and if the whole world does not unite around Ukraine's determination?" said Zelenskyy.
"If we don't, God forbid, there will be Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Moldova, then Georgia, then Poland. And so they will go to the Berlin Wall," the head of state added.
Zelensky thanked the countries that supply weapons to our state today, but noted that this help came too late.
"This is a term that costs thousands of lives of Ukrainians," the president said.
The president added that the world community was also late with the sanctions, despite being stronger than the Russian army.
"The world is stronger than Putin's military ... There are decisions made by diplomats ... The military must defend, the military must not attack in the modern world. That is why the whole world is late with Ukraine. And their people told them about it, not my people. You have seen what is happening in the squares of the world ... But the entire world should know that it is late with this (sanctions) policy, "Zelenskyy stressed.
We remind, that today, 3 March, during a conversation with foreign journalists, Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted that if NATO and the EU do not protect their member states from Russian aggression, such alliances are doomed to extinction.
