The second round of peace negotiations between the delegation of Ukraine and the Russian Federation, which is attacking our country, has ended. This was announced by the adviser to the head of the President's Office Mykhailo Podoliak.

He said that currently Ukraine did not achieve expected results. There are only resolutions on the organization of humanitarian green corridors.

"The second round of talks between the Russian and Ukrainian sides has just ended. Unfortunately, we did not get the results we expected. The only thing I can say is that we discussed the humanitarian aspect in detail, as many cities are now surrounded. There is a dramatic situation with food, medicines, and the possibility of evacuation. Therefore, I am to read the official communiqué, which was reached by the parties. We agreed to continue discussions in the third round as soon as possible, " said Podoliak.

The parties agreed to collaboratively provide humanitarian corridors for the evacuation of civilians, as well as for the supply of medicines and food in the areas with fiercest fighting with the possibility - I emphasize: with the possibility! - of a temporary ceasefire during the evacuation in the sectors where it takes place. So not everywhere, but in places where there will be humanitarian corridors, there may be a ceasefire during the evacuation, "-

To do this, according to him, in the near future official channels of communication and interaction along with the formation of appropriate logistics procedures will be organized.

As a reminder, on 28th February, the Ukrainian delegation held the first negotiations near the Ukrainian-Belarusian border with representatives of the Russian Federation. A member of the delegation, David Arahamiya, said before the talks that they would go either in the right direction or as a Russian warship.

The talks ended with the “definition of a number of priority topics where certain solutions have been identified."

On 1st March, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba stressed that Ukraine is ready for the second meeting and peace talks. But the Ukrainian side will not go to the talks under any circumstances if Russia plans to announce only its ultimatums. On 2nd March, there was information that the venue of the talks would be Bilovetska Forest. But Arahami, who took part in the first round of talks, denied it.

The second round of talks took place today. Information about the place was not made public.
