Today, on March 4, the Ukrainian President held telephone conversations with the countries' leaders and unions and discussed the situation with the Russian aggression and ways to help Ukraine in the fight against Russia.
Zelenskyy discussed cooperation with the Crown Prince of the UAE, Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
President believes that “support from the partners is important,” especially in difficult times for the Ukrainian economy.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy held talks with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
“I thanked him for the consistent support. Informed about the ongoing aggression and nuclear terrorism from Russian Federation,” stated the President on his Twitter.
The head of state also talked with the Executive Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Kristalina Georgieva.
The parties discussed financial support for Ukraine.
"I am grateful for the immediate assistance already provided by the fund. IMF should take the lead in financing the recovery after the end of Russian aggression," Zelensky said.
With the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, Zelenskyy discussed the issue of strengthening sanctions against Russia.
"The issue of EU membership was also on the agenda," the President of Ukraine stressed.
Volodymyr Zelensky also discussed sanctions against Russia and Ukraine's accession to the EU with European Council President Charles Michel.
Among other important issues during the telephone conversation, the parties touched upon the safety of nuclear power plants, critical industries, and infrastructure.
The President informed the Prime Minister of Japan Fumio Kishida about Russia's nuclear terrorism at the Zaporizhzhia NPP.
Zelensky thanked the Japanese Prime Minister for "diverse assistance and sanctions pressure on Russia."
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba addressed a meeting of the Foreign Ministers of the North Atlantic Alliance and called for increased assistance to Ukraine.
