Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett has arrived on an unannounced visit to the Russian Federation to hold talks with President Vladimir Putin on the situation in Ukraine.

"Prime Minister Naftali Bennett is reportedly in Moscow for talks with Vladimir Putin," the newspaper said, citing Russian data.
Putin's spokesman Dmitriy Peskov confirmed that talks between the Russian president and the Israeli prime minister are underway in the Kremlin.
"The situation in Ukraine is being discussed," Peskov told reporters.
On 1 March the Russian troops attacked a TV tower in Kyiv. Five people were killed and five others were injured in the shelling. Some channels stopped broadcasting, but then resumed promptly.
Russia has also launched a missile attack on the territory where the memorial complex Babyn Yar is located. The Israeli Foreign Ministry has condemned Russia's attack on a Jewish cemetery near Babyn Yar. The Minister has promised to help with reconstruction where they can.
On 2 March, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a telephone conversation with the Prime Minister of Israel.
