Petro Poroshenko has called for the involvement of the world's leading countries in Ukraine's negotiations with Russia. He said this in an interview with The New York Times on Sunday.
Answering the question about the third round of Ukrainian-Russian negotiations scheduled for tomorrow, Poroshenko said: “I wish success to our delegation. But even though the war has been going on in Ukraine for eight years, Putin is now at war not only with Ukraine but also with the West, NATO, and the EU. And only they can cooperate to stop this maniac. Therefore, not only Zelenskyy and Putin, but Biden, Macron, Scholz, and Johnson should be at the negotiations about security in Ukraine, Europe, and around the world. If the issue of closing the sky and supplying Soviet fighter aircraft to our Air Force is not resolved, unless there is massive military support, then Western diplomacy must form a consolidated security position."
Poroshenko reminded us of his initiative for Merkel and Hollande to join the Normandy format as representatives of the EU, and then it allowed to stop the open phase of the war.
