The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy decided to give orders to the heads of regional state administrations and mayors who have excelled the most in the defense of their communities.
He stated this in his video address to the Ukrainians.

The head of Mykolaiv regional state administration Kim Vitaliy;

The head of Donetsk regional state administration Kyrylenko Pavlo;

The head of Luhansk regional state administration Haiday Serhiy;

The head of Chernihiv regional state administration Chaus Viacheslav;

The head of Sumy regional state administration Zhyvytskyy Dmytro;
The Order of Courage is awarded to:

The mayor of Kharkiv Terekhov Igor;

The mayor of Mykolaiv Senkevych Olexandr;

The mayor of Chernihiv Atroshenko Vladislav;

The mayor of Sumy Lysenko Olexandr;

The mayor of Kherson Kolykhaev Igor;
-
The mayor of Melitopol Fedorov Ivan;

The mayor of Nova Kakhovka Kovalenko Volodymyr.
"And our heroes, our hero cities, I decided to award a special title. As it was when they resisted another invasion. But a similar one. Another invasion which was no less brutal," - added Zelenskyy.

As previously mentioned, 100 thousand Ukrainians have joined territorial defense since the beginning of the Russian invasion, on 24 February.
