The International Judo Federation (IJF) has removed the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin and the First Vice President of the Russian Judo Federation Arkady Rotenberg from all positions held in the organisation. This is reported by Interfax-Ukraine with a reference to the IJF press service. “The International Judo Federation announces that Mr. Vladimir Putin and Mr. Arkady Rotenberg have been removed from all positions held in the International Judo Federation,” the message says.
Earlier, IJF announced the suspension of Putin’s status as Honorary President and Ambassador of the Federation.
It also stated that the IJF had cancelled all judo competitions in the Russian Federation.
