Despite their wounds, these two brave female medics of the 95th Brigade continued to rescue paratroopers under enemy fire

Two wounded female members of the medical unit of the 95th Airborne Assault Brigade refused to evacuate and continued to provide medical care to their wounded comrades-in-arms in order to save lives.

This was reported by the public relations service of the Airborne Assault Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"These young and beautiful girls, Natalia and Olena, are combat medics and a part of the Ukrainian army. Today, they were in the middle of the firestorm, right where Ukraine needed them and together with their units deterred barbaric attacks of the Russian Federation troops.” says the statement issued by the Airborne Assault Command. “While providing the medical support to the airborne assault unit soldiers at the battle positions, Natalka and Olena came under heavy artillery fire from the enemy, then the close combat started. The medics got gunshot wounds but refused to evacuate and continued to provide medical care to their wounded comrades-in-arms, saving their lives."

Upon a brief standstill and a direct order from the command, the girls were taken to a military hospital. At the moment, their health condition is stable and they are already waiting to return to their units.

Previously, it was reported that the Russian troops struck the military base of the 95th Separate Landing and Assault Brigade of Armed forces of Ukraine in Zhytomyr on March 2nd.
