I am grateful to the President of the World Bank for the strong support of Ukraine - Zelenskyy

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked World Bank President David Malpass for supporting Ukraine and providing additional assistance.

"I am grateful to World Bank President David Malpass for his strong support for Ukraine in the fight against Russian aggression," the statement said.

On the night of 8 March, The World Bank Group Boards of Directors approved a free package of additional budget support "Financing for recovery in a difficult economic situation in Ukraine (FREE Ukraine)" for 489m US dollars.

According to the bank's website, the total amount of financial aid will exceed 700m dollars.
