The press service of the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces reported that Russia has carried out an armed provocation to justify Belarus' involvement in the war against Ukraine. Two planes of the Russian Armed Forces struck an artillery bombardment in a village in the Brest region of the Republic of Belarus.

According to the State Border Guard Service, today at 14:30, Russian planes took off from the Dubrovytsia airfield (Belarus), entered the territory of Ukraine, turned over our villages Horodychi and Tumeni. After that, they inflicted fire damage on the settlement of Kopany (Belarus).

Now, the 9th Border Detachment is watching the occupation of this settlement by the enemy.

"This is a provocation! The goal is to involve the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus in the war with Ukraine!" emphasized the Command of the Air Force of the Armed Forces.

Updated. The bombs from Russian planes fell on Belarusian territory and Ukrainian territory in the Volyn region, said Anton Herashchenko, an adviser to the Internal Affairs Minister.

Earlier, Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov said that Russia was preparing a series of bloody provocations to force the Belarusian leadership to war against Ukraine. He called on Belarusians not to allow the Kremlin to destroy their country's future.
