Volunteer Oleksandr Ivashchyk died as a result of enemy shelling in the Irpin, Kyiv region. The man left two minor children and his wife.

The mayor of Irpen Alexander Markushin reported about it in the evening on March 13.

"Today we have another painful loss. Our volunteer Oleksandr Ivashchuk died under enemy fire in Irpen," - Markushin wrote. 

The mayor said that Sasha was a football player, played for the Irpin veteran team. 

"He has rushed to help people since the beginning of the war. He has helped evacuate hundreds of people, especially the elderly," - Markushin added.

As reported, in the Luhansk region, the Russians killed volunteer Alexander Kononov, who lost his arm and leg and since 2014 helped the army. The man was shot in his wheelchair.
